Biography
After spending his formative years in France and studying engineering, Alexander White pursued a degree in Design at Falmouth University. He then worked with various artists and designers, including Fred Baier and Paul Cocksedge, before establishing his own studio in Hackney, London, which operated between 2013 and 2023. He and his family have now relocated to the French Alps, where he has set up his new studio.
His award-winning work spans private commissions, interiors, and public art. Alex’s hands-on approach to design, combined with his deep respect for traditional crafts and modern manufacturing technologies, makes his work both relevant and original, while retaining the charm and depth of handmade pieces. The aesthetic of his work is driven by his idea-focused approach to design and his unique interpretation of craftsmanship.

Après avoir passé ses années de formation en France et étudié l’ingénierie, Alexander White a poursuivi ses études en Design à l’Université de Falmouth. Il a ensuite travaillé avec divers artistes et designers, notamment Fred Baier et Paul Cocksedge, avant de créer son propre studio à Hackney, Londres, qui a fonctionné de 2013 à 2023. Lui et sa famille ont maintenant déménagé dans les Alpes françaises, où il a installé son nouveau studio.
Son travail primé comprend des commandes privées, des intérieurs et de l’art public. L’approche pratique d’Alex en matière de design, combinée à son profond respect pour l’artisanat traditionnel et les technologies de fabrication modernes, rend son travail à la fois pertinent et original, tout en conservant le charme et la profondeur des pièces faites à la main.
