The design of this kitchen was born from a harmonious collaboration between a discerning architect client with a deep appreciation for wood and Alexander White. From the very beginning, their shared language of craftsmanship and innovative design through material exploration set the tone for the project. The genesis of the design was a humble sketch on the back of an envelope, symbolizing the organic nature of their creative exchange. Both the client and his wife are successful ceramic artists, often hosting open houses and exhibitions at home, which the kitchen renovation needed to accommodate. This space was crafted not only for daily use but also to serve as a functional and beautiful backdrop for their artistic and social gatherings.
